Loren A. Seggerman Nov. 5, 1937 - July 2, 2014 GRANGER - Loren A. Seggerman, 76, passed away at 1:28 AM Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at his home with his loving family by his side, after battling health issues for nine years. Loren is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Susan Seggerman, who has stood faithfully by his side these last nine years as Loren's caregiver. Loren is also survived by their daughters, Lori (Sean) Eagan, Sherry (Jeff) Sayles and Stacy (John) Zack, all of Granger. He often referred to them as "Loren's Angels." Also surviving are seven wonderful grandchildren, Shane and Conor Eagan, Chelsey (Todd) Obergfell, Molly and Corey Sayles, Joe and Steven Zack; brother-in-law, Kenny Todd; and several nieces and nephews. Loren was born on November 5, 1937, in Mishawaka, to Charles William Sr. and Rose (Naragon) Seggerman, and has remained a lifelong resident of this area, graduating from Mishawaka High School in 1955. On April 28, 1962, in Niles, Michigan, he was united in marriage to Susan A. (Tormey) Seggerman. Loren and Sue built their home in 1961 and resided there for 52 years. The joy of his life was his family and friends, and having everyone over to their home for pool parties and family gatherings. He loved gardening, building, and traveling with his family. Loren was a quiet, loving man who was loved by many people. He worked for many years as an electrician and retired in 2003 after 17 years with City Plumbing and Heating, St. Joseph, MI, where he worked as a cost estimator. Loren was preceded in death by his parents, Charles William Sr. and Rose Seggerman; sister, Wilma Todd; and by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Pearl Seggerman Jr. The family wishes to express their sincere and grateful appreciation to Dr. Christopher Quinn, M.D., dear family friends Connie Egan and Bonnie Chiantello, the staff at "Help at Home," the staff at Hospice Care, and the Harris-Clay Fire Department for all of their wonderful love, compassion, and support during these past nine years. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or donations, hug or call your parents today. Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, & Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the Seggerman family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.

Sue and Family,
Loren was a genuine gentleman, he had a calm and friendly nature that made him instantly like-able. We spent a few years in Indiana and Loren, Sue and family made us feel like we had a home away from home. We knew Loren when he was in good health and were sad to hear of his illness. We know it has been tough on him and you all since his health failed.
His pain is over, may he rest in peace.

Sue, & Family,
So sad to hear about your loss. I always admired Loren, such a special person. I remember growing up, coming to your house, & thinking you had the best family ever! I know he is in a better place now, making jokes with Wilma, Charlie, & Pearl. Bless you all.

I know this is very late for us to be speaking of our fondness for Loren. We enjoyed knowing Loren for several years and seeing how much he loved his family and appreciated company. Loren was such a good person and he will be sadly missed by us and MANY others forever. His dogs Matt and Mitzi will grieve over him as well. God Rest You Loren Seggerman.
