My Strawberry Grandma thought of everyone but herself. She would take the clothes off her back if it meant someone else would be warmer.

I remember being a little girl and going to visit her. She would pull out a tupperware container full of her frozen home-grown strawberries. I could never finish them in one sitting so she would let me take it home with me. They were the best thing I have ever eaten.

It is so wonderful to read all the kind things everyone has to say about Strawberry Grandma. We were all so lucky to have known a woman like her.

I would also like to add my deepest regret for not being able to make it to the funeral. I wish with all my heart that I could be there.

This had to be the hardest working, caring and loving person I have ever had the pleasure to know. No matter what we wanted or needed she was always there. I grew up in their home and backyard and I am better for having done so. Grandma is still the best cook I have known, my memories are laced with the sweet aromas of her cooking. We didn't get a chance to spend time in the past 25 years and I deeply regret that and have missed her greatly! Both were the best grandparents anyone could ask for and my hopes are that they are as happy as they made everyone else while they were here. The loss is ours....Love you Grandma!

I have such fond memories of going with Jackie and Jerry to Grandma and Grandpa Coon's house. I did not, however, for a long time, realize that they weren't my grandparents too. I always felt happy and safe and loved in their home. Please accept not only my heartfelt sympathy as you grieve your loss, but also my sincere happiness in knowing they are together again. I am grateful for having known them both.

This is probably one of the hardest things I could possibly write. I never thought at 17 I would be sitting here on my computer writing my heart out about the best grandma in the world. I honestly think everyone in the world would wish for a grandma like ours. My grandma was the most sweet, beautiful and kind hearted woman in the world. She was always doing the nicest things for everybody. I remeber every saturday me and dad would go to farmers market and then get apples every time for grandma and then go right to her house and spend hours just sitting with her at the table and she would always make the best breakfast ever. She always had the grandma touch in every single thing she made. I pray that each day she watches over us. It is a wonderful thing that her and grandpa are both back together again in the golden gates of heaven watching over me and my family. Grandma was more than just a grandma. She was the most absolute grandma in the whole entire world. I am glad I was born her grand-daughter, and I was given the chance to be in her family. I could never in a million years asked for a better grandma.

Dear God.
I ask you for a question,
it comes right from my heart.
To hold my grandma tight,
as if we arent apart.
And have her watch us all,
from the golden gates above.
And let her know this one thing,
She will forever hold our love.

I LOVE YOU GRANDMA.

Grandma .. I still remember going over to your house and staying the night with you .. while you would stay up until I went to sleep and you would be so tired, but you would do anything to make me happy! You would want to come over every night, because you didn't want to be alone. You would do anything to make somebody happy. I will miss you with all my heart, but at least you and grandpa are together again. I wish I could you guys happy again. I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART! REMEMBERANCE Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.

I've been sitting here trying to come up with the right words to describe my Grandma and how I felt about her. Then it occured to me, if you knew her then you already know...how much she loved her family and how she took care of all of us, what a wonderful person she was. I know she thought she was lucky to have us, but we trully were the lucky ones and blessed.

If I am thought of by my Grandkids the way she is thought of by us then I will be very blessed. I could ask for no more.

Grandma I know you are where you belong with Grandpa, but you will be missed until the day I am with you both again.

Although I know that she is well now, in no pain, and free of ever being sick again, I can't help to feel extremely sad because she is not here with us anymore. My whole life has always included her from growing up across the street and being overly spoiled, to her doing the same to my girls and from then on .. to ALWAYS being in my heart. I will love and miss her more than I could ever type in this entry. I have millions of memories to fill my heart, so I will always always have her AND grandpa with me ... I am so glad they are finally together again .....

My World

I asked God for a flower, He gave me a garden.
I asked God for a tree, He gave me a forest.
I asked God for a river, He gave me an ocean.
I asked God for the world, He gave me "Grandma".
My heart is lost to you always and forever.
