CULVER - Marjorie M. (Caler) Albert, 86, of Culver, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011, at Miller's Merry Manor in Culver. Marjorie was born on January 15, 1925, to Frank P. and Helen M. (Canfield) Caler in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She was married to Wendell Vance Albert on September 14, 1948, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Together they raised three children. Vance preceded her in death on March 27, 2007. Marjorie was a Baptist by faith. She loved to read anything she could find and to travel. She was a member of the Hibbard Circle, and enjoyed sending cards and letters. She is survived by her son, Norman Albert of Culver; daughter, Bonita (Dean) Danner of Wakashau, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Toni Albert of Argos; and nine grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Jonathan and Samuel Danner, and Tiffany, Zechariah, Christian, Nicole and Samuel Albert. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Howard, 2 brothers and a sister. A time of sharing memories with the family will be held today, September 1, 2011, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. EDT at the Odom Funeral Home in Culver. Rev. Paul Whitworth will officiate funeral services at 11:00 am on Friday, September 2, 2011. at the Faith Baptist Church on 13th Road, Plymouth, IN. A luncheon will be served immediately after the service. A graveside committal service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Cemetery in rural LaPorte County, IN. Memorials may be given to a charity of the donor's choosing. Condolences may be sent via the obituary page at www.odomfuneralhome .com. The Odom Funeral Home, Culver, is in charge of arrangements.
