Mary A. Redding July 6, 1932 - Dec. 30, 2014 SOUTH BEND - Mrs. Mary A. Redding, age 82 of South Bend, IN., passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Wellbrooke of South Bend Health Center, South Bend, IN. Mary was born July 6, 1932 in Juliette, Georgia to Will Moore and Clara (Barrow) Moore who both preceded her in death along with her husband, Anderson Redding, two sons, Larry and Robert Redding, siblings, Lillie Bell Walton, Irene Watkins, Willie Moore, Amos Moore, Eugene Moore, Cicero Moore and Cecil Moore. She united in holy matrimony to Anderson Redding on March 14, 1953 in Juliette, Georgia. Coming from Juliette, GA., in 1953 she moved to South Bend, IN. She worked for the University of Notre Dame for 26 years retiring in 1996. Her passions were gardening, solving word search puzzles, being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking and watching the food channel. Survivors left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Rosemary (Brandon) Lott and Beverly Redding, one son, Donald Redding, three grandchildren, Christopher Redding, Sr., Robert Redding and Larry (MiChelle) Redding, nine great grandchildren, Christopher, Jr., Bianca, Andrew, Aaliyah, Darius, Deja, Robert, Miles and Tatianna, two great-great grandchildren, John and Eric, two brothers, Arthur (Odessa) Moore and Jimmie (Ora Dean) Moore, special daughter in law, Emma Sue James and two special granddaughters, Nikki and Emmary Richey all of South Bend, IN., along with a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Alford's Mortuary with viewing occurring from 12:00 p.m., to !:00 p.m. Interment will follow services at Highland Cemetery. Alford's Mortuary has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be contributed to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN., 46545. The Redding family would like to express their appreciation and thanks to the caring and professional staff of Wellbrooke of South Bend Health Center.
