June 13, 1947 - June 15, 2019
PLYMOUTH, IN - Michael L. Horvath, 72, passed away suddenly while on vacation in Puerto Vicente Guerrero, Mexico.
Mike is survived by wife, M. Jane Horvath, & his children, Kevin (Lisa) Horvath, Brenda Wallace, and David (Lora) Horvath; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen S. Rowe; and brother, Timothy (Jeanette) Horvath.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth. Rosary at 6:45p.m. Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home. www.johnson-danielson.com

Mike and I go back a long way, my memories are not perfect, but I recall we first met in the early 60's during our high school years. We worked together as bus boys at Eddy's restaurant in Mishawaka not far from the Notre Dame campus. We were making $1.00 an hour plus tips which was good money back then. During the Sumer of 1964, just before our senior year in school, my parents decided to go on a fishing vacation in Minnesota and invited Mike to come along. What a great time we had! After graduation we lost touch so forward 51 years to a Washington High School 50th reunion where I was seated with Kathy, Mikes sister. Through Kathy I contacted Mike and we had lunch together. During lunch Mike stunned me when he said the 1964 fishing vacation had a significant impact on his life. I tell this history because at the end, Mike was doing what he loved. We will meet again one day and this time it will be Mikes turn to teach me how to fish.
