Peter Schubert Obituary
SOUTH BEND - Peter W. Schubert, 35, of South Bend, IN, passed away Friday, December 11, 2009, in Memorial Hospital. Peter was born November 17, 1974, in South Bend, IN, to Christine A. Lauber and Ronald A. Schubert. He is survived by his parents, a sister, Jessica (Mario) Schubert-Osorio, and niece, Gabriela S. Osorio of Colorado Springs, CO. He graduated from St. Joseph High School and Indiana University of South Bend. He was an accountant for many years in both South Bend and Chicago. Peter will always be known for the smile on his face and the laughter he brought to a room. He brought joy to the lives of many. Services will be held at St. Joseph Parish, South Bend, on Saturday, December 19th, at noon. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - noon in the church prior to the services. Arrangements are being handled by Welsheimer Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN, 46545. I was thinking about Peter the last couple of days about the last time I saw him. I really held him tight because I had a gut feeling I was never going to see him again. I miss him so much. He always made me laugh and I was his smoking buddy at work. I wish his family well.

I still miss Peter and think of him all the time. I miss his laugh and the feeling that someone has always got my back! I've thought of calling Jessica from time to time... if only just to hear an echo of Pete's laugh. Still missing you!

Even though I did not talk to Peter for 2 years I always knew he was out there somewhere. Now He Is Not. Peter, I miss your voice,your smile,your laughter and making me laugh. You always knew what to say to me when I was sad or mad to make me feel better. Who is going to do it now.

Peter was the younger brother our family never had. I remember Peter and Jessica on our front porch step each summer morning, still in their pajamas no less! They were and always will be part of our extended family. My heart, prayers and love go out to you, Jessica and Chris.
