Ricky Neese Obituary

SOUTH BEND - Ricky Dean Neese, 65, residing in South Bend, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Sprenger Health of Mishawaka.
He was born July 3, 1950 in Greenup, Illinois, a son of Victor R. & Lena (McMechan) Neese, and has lived in South Bend most of his life.
Ricky was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era from 1970-1974, having been stationed aboard the USS Shreveport.
On August 11, 1979 at Clay United Methodist Church, South Bend, he was united in marriage to Rebecca K. “Becky” Deepe. He is survived by his loving wife Becky, along with four sisters, Gwenavere (Ralph) Cummins, Linda Schoen, Marilyn Sappington, and Darlene Evans, all of South Bend, and four brothers, Victor (Judy) Neese of Osceola, Gary (Brenda) McMechan of Casey, IL; Clarence Neese, and Kevin (Lisa) Neese both of South Bend.
Ricky retired from the St. Joseph County Park Dept. where he worked in maintenance and was a park leader. He was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan St., South Bend. Rev. Greg Crump will officiate. Entombment and military honors will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services on Monday.
