Rudolph I Pyclik
South Bend - Rudolph I. Pyclik, 103, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 24, 2021.
Rudy was born February 10, 1918 in South Bend, to the late John and Agnes (Kosik) Pyclik. On June 15, 1940 in St. Adalbert's Catholic Church Rudy married Stella (Polonka) Pyclik, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rudolph Jr.; sisters and brothers, Anna, Jean, Stephanie, Casimir, Roman, and Michael.
Left to cherish the memory of Rudy is his sister-in-law, Lillian Pyclik; brother-in-law, John Polonka; cousins, David Mielcarek and Cindy Potterack; many nieces, nephews, and all his extended family members.
Rudy worked for the South Bend Lunch Room from 1937-1940. He also worked from 1940-1981 at the Singer Sewing Machine Company, Oliver Corporation, and the Torrington Company, retiring in 1981. Rudy enjoyed woodworking, carving and painting. Rudy was an avid parishioner of the St. Mary's PNCC. He was the oldest member of the St. Joseph Young Men's Society, and A long-time contributor to the State Police Department.
Visitation for Rudy will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary's Polish National Church, 1601 W. Sample St., South Bend, In. 46619.
