NORTH LIBERTY - Shirley L. Limerick, 88, of North Liberty, IN, went home to Jesus at 7:22 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Heritage Pointe, Mishawaka, IN, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 12, 1927, in St. Joseph County, IN, to the late Paul F. and Nadine (Morris) Williams, Sr. She was also preceded in death by Naomi Harness Williams, who raised her since she was twenty-one months of age after the untimely death of Nadine. On August 10, 1946, in North Liberty, IN, she was united in marriage to William D. Limerick, who preceded her in death March 7, 2011.

Mrs. Limerick is survived by her children, Julia (Bruce) Hite of Lubbock, TX, David (Penny) Limerick of Ligonier, IN, Alan (Paula) Limerick of North Liberty, IN, and Andrea (David) Ritsema of South Bend, IN; five grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) Hite, Kris (Patti) Limerick, Tim (Michelle) Limerick, Joel (Angie) Limerick, and Tracy (Brian) Perry; and many great-grandchildren who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters, Myrna Daube and Iris Jane Dearing, and brother, Paul Williams Jr.

Mrs. Limerick was a lifelong resident of North Liberty. She retired from Wells Aluminum where she worked in the payroll department. She previously worked at Community State Bank in North Liberty and Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Walkerton. Mrs. Limerick was a member of the North Liberty Church of Christ where she was formerly the financial secretary and a member of the Order of Eastern Star in North Liberty. The family wishes to thank the following for their care and compassion that was given to Mrs. Limerick from Miller's Assisted Living in Wakarusa, Dr. Tricia Walters, North Woods Village, Senior Helpers, Heritage Pointe and Great Lakes Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2016, at North Liberty Church of Christ, 65225 State Road 23, North Liberty, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Palmer Funeral Home-North Liberty, is assisting the family. Private burial will take place at Westlawn Cemetery.
