Paul and family. I am so sorry for your loss. Susan was an amazing person. She gave so much of herself to others, never asking for anything in return. She was a good friend and I will miss her, but remain strong in the knowledge of all the children she helped.

Susan: You were so special to me. We shared a lot of emotions related to our jobs. You were understanding, compassionate and most of all you had a willing ear. Somehow, there was a sense of peace to you. You never expressed overt blowups that our clients sometimes cause.

You were kind to me, personally. You gave me hugs when I had to go through painful dental procedures and discomfort throughout my own treatment for cancer. You always made certain that you did not get so immersed in your own health crisis that you did not ask how I was doing.

Also there was a unique softness to you. I remember asking you how married life was going shortly after you married Paul and your comment was "I think that he likes me more now that we are married." I will never forget that as long as I live. And your love for your father touched my heart as I watched your heart break for him when he faced losing his spouse. You were a beacon of love for everyone.

I am fortunate to have known you and thank you for all you did for me. You taught me some computer tips and some adoption case management and made me feel not so alone at times.

God bless you and your family now and forever.
