MISHAWAKA, IN - John “Ted” Reilly, 87, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at Primrose Retirement Community of Mishawaka. Ted was born March 6, 1931 in Altoona, Pennsylvania, to the late Jack Reilly and Agnes (Fowler). On June 15, 1963 in Elkhart, Ted married Marlene (Fredericks), his wife of fifty-five years who survives, along with a son, John Reilly and his wife Jessica of Houston, Texas. Ted proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked at Bendix (Honeywell) until his retirement. Ted enjoyed playing golf and traveling with Marlene, and was a member of Morris Park Country Club. He was an avid reader, enjoyed building radio controlled airplanes, and listening to Classical and Dixieland music. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the nurses and staff at Primrose Retirement Community for their outstanding care and support. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 12, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., South Bend, with Chaplain Neil Davis officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
