MISHAWAKA - Thomas J. Housouer, 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his residence.

Tommy was born on April 1, 1923 in Nappanee, IN to Chester and Opal (Eiman) Housouer, both of whom precede him in death. He is also preceded by his first wife, Lynetta (Murphy) Housouer and his son, Kent Housouer.

On September 6, 2012, he married Nerlita Mir. She is left to cherish his memory. Tommy is also survived by his cousin John Luthringer and by his friend and colleague, Randy Wanbaugh, whom he thought of as a son.

Tommy proudly served his country during World War II as a sergeant of the air force. After retiring from the armed services, Tommy worked as an insurance salesman for Farmers Insurance Group in Mishawaka for 18 years.

Visitation for Tommy will be on Sunday, February 19, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th. Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will follow Monday, February 20, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Fred Youngen will officiate. Burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery.
