Val was great bowler and had a great personality. He also was a great dancer! When the OC Boys Band was at Chippewa bowling alley he would always be there dancing and having a great time!! Val, you will truly be missed.

I got to know Val when I moved to the South Bend area in 1971 and got to know him from bowling at Parkway and traveling to the Peterson Classic on his squad and a few trips to the Nationals and State. Having lived in others places before South Bend and other very good bowlers; if I had to pick one person to throw a strike when needed, that person would be Val. Rest in Peace VAL

Val often stopped in to visit with his daughter, Diane, while she worked. Usually the visit included a "doggie" bag of some delicious meal Diane had prepared and saved for him. The special bond between Diane and her Pops was clear.
Val was always smiling and joking. He was a special person.
My condolences to the family.
