DARRELL WORKMAN Obituary

DARRELL GLEN WORKMAN, 62, gained his wings and passed away peacefully at home Feb. 17, 2018. He was born to the late Robert (Alice) Workman on March 12, 1955. He retired from Ross Timber in 2012, approximately, after many years of dedication. He enjoyed working outside, having family cookouts, and fishing; but most of all he loved kicking back in his Lazyboy at night and watching his favorite TV show, "Schitt's Creek," with Mom. he loved her with a passion most would never understand. Everything he was, everything he did, was for her. They met at the age of 15 and married shortly thereafter on Aug. 12, 1972. A whirlwind marriage they most surely had but with no regrets in the end. There is no doubt he left the world with no one but Mom in his heart and on his mind. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Doug "Peewee"; and son, Clarance Dale. He is survived by his brother, Robert of Mason County; sister, Joyce; and nephew, Christian, both of Georgia. There's more I'm sure but no clue to as to where they even are. Also surviving are his wife, Debbie; and son, Jeremy (Brook), both of Racine, W.Va.; daughters, Glenna (Wally), Crystal (Curtis), all of Seth, W.Va.; grandsons, Dakota, Tyler, Little Jeremy, Kazz (Chloe), Shane, all of Seth, W.Va.; granddaughters, Brista, who was the light of his life, Amber (Timmy) Chambers, Autumn Woodrum, Bobbie (Joey) Monroe, all of Seth, W.Va.; Shawna (Mark) of Van, W.Va.; great-grandson, Morgan Chambers; and his precious soon-to-be-born great-granddaughter, Alivia Jo Monroe. He leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that he loved very much, and a he'll have a lot of junk his family has no idea what do to with. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, sparkling blue eyes, gentle heart and his inappropriate sense of humor and jokes to all that knew him. A special thanks to my sister, Crystal, and brother-in-law, Curtis, for always being there for Dad when he needed help the most. He loved you both so much, dear sister, as he did us all, always remember that. There will be no service, per his wish. His body will be donated to science, and a private memorial will be held at a later date by his family to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, cook a pot of beans, make a jug of sweet tea and watch "Schitt's Creek." He would have liked that. Until we meet again, Dad, we all love you, and you're forever in our hearts.
