EDNA MURPHY
WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — Edna W. Murphy, 84 of Williamson, passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 2015, at Appalachian Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in South Williamson, Ky. .
Born Sept. 16, 1930, in McDowell Co. W.Va., she was a daughter of the late John Marshal and Bertha Shelton Williams. She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
She was a faithful and very active member of the East Williamson Baptist Church and the WMU, volunteered at Trinity Healthcare, and ran the concession stand for the Williamson High School band parents association from 1974 to 1980.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ray; sons, Larry (Dee) Murphy of South Williamson and John (Dawn) Murphy of Fairmont, W.Va.; daughter, Sharon Clagett, also of Fairmont, and six grandchildren, Jason Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Brice Clagett, Bronwyn Clagett, Sarah Murphy and Elizabeth Murphy. Also surviving is a sister-in-law Dorothy Williams, and nephew Marty Williams of Minford, Ohio.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wed., Feb. 11, at East Williamson Baptist church with Bro. Gary Robbins and Bro. Breezy Bevins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Memory Gardens at Huddy, Ky., with men of the church serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

John, I was so very sorry to hear about your mother. She was such a sweet person to me when we were kids. I used to listen to her singing in church and she would just belt it out. She's singing with the angels now!! I am praying for you and your whole family. God bless your sweet mother and all of you..
