HARLESS HENSLEY

HARLESS HENSLEY, 77, of Buck Fork of Harts, W.Va., went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, October 29, 2018, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. Harless was a retired coal miner, UMWA member, and a wonderful friend of many. He served his Lord as a member of the White Oak Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and his special friend, Danny Joe Bryant. Harless was born February 23, 1941, in Whirlwind, W.Va., to the late Manasses and Brooke Mullins Hensley. In addition to his parents, Harless was preceded in death by his brothers Edward (Gladys) Hensley and Gary Hensley; sisters Dorothy Hensley, Ilean (Otis) Adams, Ina Mae (Milton) Adams, Artie (Tracey) Conley, Wanda (Paul) Hinkle, Linda (Paul) Adams and Terrie (Ernest) Adams. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Joycie Tomblin Hensley; children Keith (Doris) Hensley, Patricia (Mark) Conley and Kelvin (Tina) Hensley; grandchildren Ashley (Noah) Marcum, Gabriel Conley, Tyler (Kelsie) Goble, Devin Hensley, Kaden Hensley and Jessica Hatfield; great-grandchildren Madisyn and Sophia Marcum, and Tristan, Tyler and Clayton Hatfield; brothers Manasses Jr. (Freda) Hensley and Thomas (Selena) Hensley; sisters Edith (Jerry) Conley, Tammy Hensley and Gidget (Rethal) Collins; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the White Oak Church of Christ, with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Tomblin Family Cemetery at Buck Fork of Harts. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, until time of services on Thursday. Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville, W.Va., is serving the Hensley family.
