RUBY PERRY
CHAUNCEY, W.Va. — Ruby Jeanette Steele Perry, 90, of Chauncey, departed this life Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born September 2, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Lela Olive Adams Steele. Also preceding her in death was one son: Paul Perry Jr.; two brothers: James Steele and John Steele; one sister: Virginia Hutchinson, and one great-granddaughter: Jaci Mangus.
Ruby worked for C&P Telephone Company and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter: Wanda (David) Herndon of Chauncey; one brother: Donald (Audra) Steele of Tennessee; five sisters: Patricia (Henry "Buck") Clark and Mary (Kenneth) Farmer, both of Chapmanville, Margaret (Wilburn "Tot") Fleming and Olivia (Ron) Vogel, both of Ohio, and Frances (Sam) Carper of Charleston; daughter-in-law, Brenda Mangus Perry of Man; six grandchildren: David Herndon Jr., Stephen (Misha) Herndon, Amber (Shane) Messer, Todd (Kelly) Mangus, Adam Perry, and Michael Napier and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at Morning Star Freewill Baptist Church at West Fork of Striker. Burial will be at Steele Cemetery at West Fork of Striker.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to services at the church.
