Brenda M. Wiksten

Brenda Mary (Twohig) Wiksten, age 74, of Brockton and Onset Island, died Friday, October 23, 2015, at Brigham and Womens Hospital. She was the loving wife of John V. Sheehan. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mabel (Ward) Twohig. Brenda was a graduate of St. Patricks School and Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. She was a former employee of A&P Markets, and was a registered nurse for Dr. Julie White of Brockton Hospital. Brenda was an active member of Irelands Own and their choir. She will be remembered as an extraordinarily kind, captivating and generous woman. She was loyal to all and loved by many. Brenda was the mother of Eric Paul Wiksten and his wife Luciana (Barbosa) Wiksten of South Glastonbury, Conn.; grandmother of Lilian Barbosa Wiksten; cousin of Leslie (Buckley) Regan and her husband Paul of Malden; stepmother of Jennifer Sheehan of Boston, John Sheehan and his wife Keri (Donovan) Sheehan of Clifton Park, N.Y., Jamie Sheehan and his wife Amanda (Martin) Sheehan of Boston, Jessica (Sheehan) Whelan and her husband Jason of Boston; step-grandmother of Andrew, Abby, Aidan, Maggie, Braedyn, Killian, and Brennan Sheehan as well as Nora and Fiona Whelan. Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123), Brockton, Sunday 1-5 p.m. The procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m. for a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
