David S. Corbett

David S. Corbett, 80, of Port Richey, Fla., formerly of Spring Hill, Fla., Taunton, Mass., and Whitman, Mass., passed away peacefully at his home Sept. 11, 2017. He was born and raised in Quincy, Mass., the son of the late David and Florence Corbett. he was brother to his late older brother, David Corbett, of same name. He worked as a trusted and knowledgable mechanic, as well as dedicating his life as a call firefighter on the Whitman Fire Dept., and being the President of the PCFWFFA. David enjoyed woodworking, collecting fire patches from all over the world, and playing bingo. He owned a 1924 Maxim firetruck, which brought great pleasure for him to share at the fire musters, in the parades, or just taking his family for a ride. He and his wife Caroline were able to celebrate their 55 years of marriage recently, on Sept. 8, 2017. To the end, the love for his family, and his family for him, never went unnoticed and never will. David is survived by his wife, Caroline (Liley) Corbett, his four children, Debbie Duquette of Taunton, Mass., Charles Corbett of Lexington, S.C., Joyce (John) Mann of Port Richey, Fla., and Matt (Mary MacVicar) Corbett of Hanson, Mass; his grandchildren, Amanda, John, Patrick, David and Cliffton; and his great-grandchildren, Logan, Skylar and Gabrielle; as well as his late dog, Fenway Frank.
