Emma DeChristopher Obituary

Bridgewater Emma M. (Ziegler) DeChristopher, 86, of Bridgewater, died Sunday, June 29, in the Life Care Center in West Bridgewater, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Albert M. DeChristopher. Emma was born in Hanover and grew up in Rockland and she was a graduate of Rockland High School, Class of 1940. She had been a resident of Bridgewater for the last 20 years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards. She is survived by her children, John A. DeChristopher of Arizona, George M. DeChristopher of Pennsylvania, Ann E. Lesperance of Bridgewater, Marjorie R. DaSilva of Middleboro, Antonia M. Rando of Brockton; her stepsons, Robert DeChristopher of East Bridgewater, Richard DeChristopher of Cape Cod; her sister, Frances Osborne of West Bridgewater; also seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held July 21 at 10 a.m. in St. Patricks Cemetery in Rockland. Visitation omitted by request. Donations may be made in her name to the Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368. Arrangements made by the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Inc., Whitman.
