Ernestine Pappas Obituary

Ernestine Pappas Brockton Ernestine (Droukas) Pappas, 87, of Brockton died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton. She was the wife of Peter J. Pappas for more than 47 years. Born May 24, 1920, in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Pantelis Droukas and Desma (Pappas) Droukas. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School. She also attended Brockton Business College. She worked as a secretary for Potvin Shoe Co. for many years. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Brockton. She belonged to the Annunciation Greek Ladies Philoptochos Society and to the Daughters of Penelope. She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano and violin. She is survived by her husband, Peter J. Pappas of Brockton; her siblings, Helen (Droukas) Montgomery of Brockton, Nicholas Droukas of Middleboro; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Peter Droukas. Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 457 Oak St., Brockton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ernestines memory to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
