James Bertowice Obituary

PLYMOUTH James F. Bertowice, of Plymouth, formerly of Brockton, died Sept. 14. He was the beloved husband of Gloria F. (Lane); loving father of Susan Bertowice of Brockton; stepfather of Edward McCormick of Holbrook, Richard McCormick of Florida, Steven McCormick of Weymouth, Jeanne Garibo of Quincy, Shelia McCormick-ODonnell of Plymouth, Joyce Lewis of Whitman and Linda Golden of North Carolina. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Born in Brockton, November 9, 1925, he was educated in the Brockton schools. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had worked as a counselor at the Anchor House in Plymouth. He was a 27 year friend of Bill W. Visiting hours in the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth, Tuesday, from 2-4 p.m. only. Funeral service and cremation will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Anchor house, 60 Cherry St., Plymouth, MA 02360.
