June Barboza Obituary

EASTON June F. Barboza, 88, a resident of Easton for 59 years, died Friday, at Baypointe Nursing Home in Brockton, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles Barboza. Born and raised in Gary, Ind., a daughter of the late Marcus and Frances Suchovsky, she was raised and educated in Gary. June attended hairdressing school and owned a hairdressing business in Easton at one time. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Maplewood Garage and Auto Repair of Easton. She was a member of the Easton Womens Fire Auxiliary and a member of the Halifax Bowling League. She enjoyed reading, sewing, crocheting and making various crafts. She had lived in Halifax for 6 years. She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Hollis of Taunton and Charliene Barboza of Norton; two grandchildren, Shannie Rei of Easton and Scott Barboza of Taunton; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Reynolds and Brandon Reynolds. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Tuesday, at 10 a.m. in the Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St. (Rte.138), Easton. Interment will follow in Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton. Visiting hours Monday, from 5-8 p.m. For directions or condolences, www.kanefuneralhome.com.
