Leo Federici Obituary

Leo Federici Abington Leo Federici, 94, of Abington, died on Dec. 10, 2007, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born in Italy, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Campetti) Federici and immigrated to this country in 1923. He was raised and educated in Boston. A former Brockton resident, Mr. Federici had made his home in Abington since 1978. He retired in 1980 after a 60-year career as an automotive mechanic. When he retired, he was working at Plaza Oldsmobile in Braintree and had formerly worked at Hutchins Chevrolet in Dorchester. Leo was an active member of the Abington Senior Citizens group. He was the husband of the late Marguerite T. (Williams) Federici and is survived by his children, Joseph W. Federici of Brockton, Leo F. Federici of Florida, Betty A. Cantelli of Rochester and Bill J. Federici of Hanover. Also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., Rockland, on Saturday at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Bridgets Church in Abington at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery in Rockland.
