Linda Chase Obituary
Linda F. (Catrabone) Chase, age 67, of Brockton died Tuesday December 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of Frances (Fisher) Catrabone of East Bridgewater and the late James Catrabone. Linda was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1968 and was a homemaker who was devoted to her home and family. Linda was a kind, caring and selfless person. What gave her most enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed crafts, the beach and cooking. She is survived by her children, Kerri Chase of Taunton and Christopher Chase and his wife Danielle of Stoughton; two grandchildren Damon O'Leary and Cienna Chase; a cousin Margaret Sullivan and a niece Jennifer Bergeron both of Bridgewater as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved cat Snowey. Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123), Brockton, Saturday, January 6, from 12 - 2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Donations may be made in Linda's name to the Memorial Processing, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Linda and I were friends at Brockton High School and we lived in the same neighborhood in Brockton when we were teenagers. We used to go the Westgate Disco on Friday nights together. We used to laugh together all the time. We haven't been in touch for years and I was thinking of her during this pandemic and wanted to call her. I was shocked and very sad to hear of her death. Life is just so sad sometimes. I loved you Linda! I will never forget our friendship.
