Marguerite M. Matta

Marguerite M. (Condon) Matta, 66, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died August 10, 2014. She was a 1966 graduate of Brockton High School and a graduate of Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. Marguerite was an RN for St. Joseph Manor, Brockton VNA and Old Colony Hospice. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and caring for everyones children. Marguerite was the wife of the late Robert J. Matta; beloved mother of Frank Cooney (and Laura) of Fairbanks, Alaska, Michael Cooney (and Mary) of Chelmsford, Jennifer Matta of Onset, Joseph Matta (and Marisa) of Brockton, John P. Matta (and Kerry) of West Bridgewater and Annmarie Matta (and Kyle Amber Clark) of Gaithersburg, Md.; loving grandmother of Kathryn, Quinn, Keegan, Amber Rane, Ayla, Abigail, Maeve, Hadley, Anna, Caroline, Jeffrey, Maggie, Daphne and Roxanne; sister of Madeline OReilly of Brockton, Patrick M. Condon of Vancouver, BC, Mary Herbowy (and John) of Middleboro and Ann OSullivan (and Frank); and an aunt of many. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Friday 6-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Chapel at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton.
