Michael F. McKenna

Michael F. McKenna Plainville Michael F. McKenna, husband of the late Catherine (McGuiness) McKenna, died Saturday, Oct. 27, following a short illness, at the age of 60. Formerly of Taunton and Bourne, he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Castle) McKenna. A decorated U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Bourne for many years, retiring 15 years ago. Survivors include three daughters, Kelly A. McKenna and her husband Deo DeMarino of Plainville, Lori Demers and her husband Lenny Quindley of Middleboro and Jessica Radley and her husband Edward of Scarborough, Maine; a son, James Demers of Wareham; a brother, Charles McKenna of Taunton; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was brother of the late Joseph Buddy McKenna Jr., Robert Huck Farris and Freddy Farris. His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Friday, Nov. 2, at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Marys Church, Taunton, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be on Thursday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
