Scott D. Wirta

Scott Davidson Wirta passed away peacefully at his home in Cumberland, R.I., on June 7, 2021. Scott was born in Framingham, Mass., and grew up in Bridgewater, Mass. He was the son of the late Drina Wirta (Davidson) and Henry Wirta. Scotty was a graduate of Bridgewater Raynham High School, class of 1982, and loved to reminisce about the "glory days" playing baseball with his buddies at Legion Field. He was an Army veteran and served as a military police officer. Wirt was a friendly face at Emma's Pub/Brass and Glass as a bartender for 17 years and spent his later years as a car salesman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, listening to 70s music, and watching baseball. One could say that Scotty was the biggest Red Sox fan to ever live, a trait he learned from his father and has carried down to both of his children. He loved watching college football and was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan. He was a lover of animals and always made sure his dogs were well taken care of. He brought laughter and joy to every person he came across, and he will truly be missed. He lived by "Always stay humble and Kind". Scotty was the husband of Pamela Wirta of West Bridgewater, father of Abbi Wirta and Jameison Wirta of Brockton, brother to Sandra Clemons, Paula Wirta, and Kim Sullivan, brother-in-law to Bob Clemons and Danny Sullivan, uncle to Shannon Sullivan, Dana Sullivan, Jennifer Clemons and Samantha Tondreault, and was a friend to all who knew him. There will be a celebration of life for Scotty administered by his family at a later date.
