Albert Lyne Obituary

Albert J Lyne ROCKLAND â€" Albert J. Lyne, 83, of Rockland, died October 5, 2007 at his home. He was born in Boston, son of the late Marie (Iandoli) and Thomas H. Lyne. He was raised and educated in Boston, and was a graduate of the Armed Forces Institute and Officers Candidate School for the Navy. Mr. Lyne had lived in Rockland since moving from Canton in 1987, and was a member of the Leisure Woods Bowling League. He worked for many years for General Dynamics and Stone & Webster. He was involved in building atomic submarines and inspected nuclear power plants. Albert was a member of the US Navy and a Lt. in the Coast Guard. He is survived by his wife, June R. (Larson) Lyne. His children, Thomas A. Lyne of Plymouth, Sandra A. Damon of Mashpee, his sisters Bernice "Bunny" Tibbetts of Woburn and Inez Shamey of Weymouth. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Theresa Lyne and brother of the late Raymond Lyne. Funeral from the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union St., ROCKLAND on Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church at 9 a.m. Burial in Canton Corner Cemetery. Mr. Lyne,
Sir, I didn't know you but I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN and USCG during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
