Arthur P. Roukey

Arthur P. Roukey, 76, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Abington, passed away on Sunday, June 7, after a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Peggy ( Connors) Roukey. He was born in Boston, son of the late Arthur W. and Corrine (Cote) Roukey. Arthur received his associates degree from Newbury Jr. College. Arthur served his country in the United States Navy from 1958-1962. He worked in the wholesale meat industry for Carter Veal Company in Boston for many years. In addition to his wife Peggy, he is survived by his son, Paul G. Roukey and his wife Tara, and their two sons, Connor and Owen all of Abington; his sisters, Eleanor Roukey and Rachel Delong both of Fla., and Marie Meraklis of Nev. His funeral services will be held Friday, June 12, at 8:15 a.m. from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle), Whitman, followed by a funeral Mass in the St. Bridget Church, Abington.
