Barbara L. (Skinner) Dillon, age 97, entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Barbara was born and grew up in North Attleboro, lived in Marshfield for many years, before moving to Weymouth. Mrs. Dillon worked for Christmas Tree Shop in Pembroke and prior to that at the South Shore Department Store in Scituate. Barbara was a longtime member of the chorus group, The Sweet Adelines. Beloved wife of the late Elmer "Mat" Dillon. Devoted and beloved mother to Dennis D. Dillon of Weymouth and Bruce Dillon and his wife Joan of Burlington, Vt. Loving grandmother to James, Maureen , Elizabeth and Andrea. Great-grandmother of Jacob and Mia. Beloved sister of the late Marjorie Sinkinson and Mimi Palmer. Funeral service at the Clancy-Lucid Funeral home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, on Thursday, September 9, at 10:15 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 6 until 9 pm. Committal service in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45 pm. For messages and directions, see clancylucid.com.
