Dennis Cadigan Obituary

Quincy Dennis J. Cadigan, Jr. of Quincy died July 9, 2008. Beloved husband of 59 years of Lillian F. (McCarthy) Cadigan of Quincy. Devoted father of Dennis B. Cadigan of Quincy, Brian J. Cadigan and his wife Kathleen of Marshfield, Barbara (Cadigan) Doyle of Alexandria, VA, Paul J. Cadigan and his wife Susan of Stoughton, and Kevin C. Cadigan and his wife Elizabeth of Hingham. Loving brother of William B. Cadigan of New Mexico, and the late Joseph W. Cadigan, Sr. Mary Eunice, Mary A. Toomey, Ann C. Flynn, and Francis X. Cadigan. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Solomon, James Doyle, Katelyn, Meghan, Caroline and Brian Cadigan, Jonathan, Christopher, and Michael Cadigan and the late Jeremiah Cadigan. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Burke of Hanson, and John McCarthy of Venice, FL. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dennis served in the U.S. Navy. He worked for New England Telephone for over 40 years as a Telephone Technician. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society at Sacred Heart Parish, and the Nocturnal Adoration Society of the South End. He was an avid sports fan of all Boston teams. Dennis was a family man and enjoyed spending his time with them. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 333 Hancock St., NORTH QUINCY on Saturday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 9:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
