Jean Knapp Obituary

Jean Domin Knapp, of Hingham, passed away on November 7, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Richard Knapp. Loving mother to Charles Knapp of Hingham, Peter Knapp and his wife Jane of Sunderland, and the late David Knapp of Virginia. Cherished grandmother to Andy, Katie, Kelly, Michael, Elizabeth, and Jillian. Daughter of the late Nelson Domin and Beatrice (Macintyre) Domin. Sister of the late Ellen (Domin) Reutershan. Mrs. Knapp graduated from Skidmore College in New York where she earned her Bachelors Degree in music. She was a professional singer, music teacher at Derby Academy, secretary, private piano and singing instructor, and Choir Director at the Hingham Congregational Church. She was a member of the Fine Arts Chorale and also enjoyed traveling and gardening. Mrs. Knapp was a wonderful woman who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held at the Hingham Congregational Church, 378 Main Street Hingham on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. All relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
