John M. Macozek of Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, May 29, 2015 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Margaret "Peg" (Ennis) Macozek. Loving father of Anne Marie Macozek of Fall River, Ellen M. Macozek and James M. Macozek and his wife Aracelly all of Braintree, Karen A. Macozek-Yoho and her husband Manford of Cincinatti, Ohio, William T. Macozek of Eau Claire, Wis., and the late John J. Macozek. Dear grandfather of Jacob Luken, Abigail Luken, Daniel Luken and Andrea Macozek. Great-grandfather of Ethan James Macozek Logan. Brother of the late Joseph Macozek. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. John was born in Milton, grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. John was a carpenter and a proud member of the Carpenter Union Local 33. He had worked for the City of Quincy as a Custodian in the Mayors Office. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree, until 9 a.m. on Wednesday followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Gregory Church, 2221 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
