While looking for surviving relatives in Baltimore, I came upon notice of the wonderful gift that Sandra and Malcom made to the GBMC. Ironically, although not knowing if Malcom and I are related, I do research on the fatal brain tumor Glioblastoma
multiforme that my father David Berman,brother of Blanche Hartz,died of. To Sandra Berman: I don't know if your husband and I are related, but I want to thank you for your support of neurological care.

We were so sorry to see that Mal died, I just read it on line while lookng for Casino escapes, we always went on the Atlantic City trips and knew how Mal loved Chuckles candy,such a Sweetheart of a man. Ernie & family plase accept our condolences.

I'm sure you were smiling when you saw all the lives you touched paying tribute to you. What a beautiful family you have. What a wonderful way to celebrate your life. How proud you must be. You left the world a lot better off because of them. If they are half of what you were, how lucky we all are. They will continue what you taught them and your beautiful spirit lives through them. We all missed you that day, wishing you were there with us. In spirit, we know you loved what you saw :) I can imagine all the cigars you are passing out and the laughs you are having! I met Mal through business and always found him to be a man of honor, integrity and trust, but more importantly he endeared himself to me as a friend. And even though I haven't seen him in several years his memory remains in my mind and I'll miss him in my heart.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mal gave me many opportunities during my life as a printer at Farnsworth Press. I occasionally walk down Farnsworth Street and look at our reserved parking spaces. I reflect upon the great times we had working there with the Farnsworth Family, including Aunt Natalie, Leon, and enjoying your Mom's visits. In my life I have had only a few true real friends. Mal was one of them. Jean and I enjoyed being in his company and we know he enjoyed ours. His generosity to others was overwhelming. Mal enjoyed his life to the fullest. When Mal wanted to do something he did it. I remember him always saying, "Number one, It's what I want and Number two It's what I want! End of story" Being a close friend I saw the all the crazy things he did. I remember all the crazy things we did to each other .I also saw Mal's other side. The love that he had for Susan and for his family and his friends. Mal has made such an impact to all of our lives. I can't imagine how our lives will be without him. You will certainly be missed by all.

I never knew Malcom but I am close with his daughter Jennifer; I work with her. She has shared some funny stories about her dad and I wish I got to meet him. He is a lot more comfortable now and he is going to be missed.
