Margaret T. Cameron

Margaret Theresa Cameron 'Peg' 84 of Hanson died on August 31, 2021. Peg was born September 6, 1936 and was raised in Charlestown MA, daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Toomey) Brassil. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Paul J. Cameron, Sr. Peg has called Hanson MA home for the past 53 years. She loved to travel and was happiest when at the ocean with members of her family. Whether it was here in Massachusetts, or Wells ME, Fort Lauderdale FL, or Myrtle Beach SC, the ocean and the presence of her family were all she needed. As the mother of seven Cameron children and the oldest of fourteen Brassils, she was the family's cornerstone. She was the hostess for so many family celebrations, but she was also the rock the family relied on during difficult times. Peg was the devoted mother of Paul J. Cameron and his wife Catherine, Kevin Cameron and his wife Christine, Robert Cameron and his wife Anne-Marie, Thomas Cameron and his wife Kari, James Cameron and his wife Tammy, Margaret Cameron-Hickey and her husband Dave, and Brian Cameron. Beloved sister of Thomas Brassil & his wife Pam, the late Jack Brassil and his wife Marilyn, the late James Brassil & his partner Sandra McKay, Robert Brassil and his wife Lillian, Mary Luzzo and her husband Vincent, Fred Brassil and his wife Linda, Joseph Brassil and his wife Deirdre, William Brassil and his wife Katherine, the late Dorothy Gavin and her husband Tom, and was predeceased by Rita Carroll & her husband Joe, Maureen Brassil, Paul Brassil, and Richard Brassil. Peg was also the beloved Gramma of 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and they were blessed to have her in their life. Peg worked at the Massachusetts State House as an Office Manager for a number of years. Family and friends are welcome to celebrate Peg's life on Tuesday, September 7 from 4-7 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan Street, at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in Hanson. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11 AM in Holy Apostles Church, 1 Maquan Street, Rte 14 in Hanson. Following the Funeral Mass Peg will be buried next to her beloved husband in Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson.
