Matilda "Tillie" Kandalaft

Matilda "Tillie" Affsa, passed away peacefully May 26, 2021, at her home surrounded by the family she cherished at the wonderful age of 99 years young. She and her late husband of 60 years, Antoine "Tony" started a legacy family restaurant in 1964, the well known Tony's Clam Shop. Survived by three amazing children, Roy, Gary and his wife Amie Kandalaft, and Karen and her husband Russell Djerf, and by her treasured grandchildren, Erika, Natalie, Alexandra, Nikki, Dana, Tony and Brian. She is also survived by adoring and caring nieces and nephews as well as her sister-in-law, Carole. Tillie was preceded in death by her 8 loving siblings and their spouses. She was loved by each of her home health aides, who became her friends. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday, June 2 from 9 to 12 pm. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy at 12:30. Donations may be made in her memory to one of the special foundations dear to her heart, "St. Jude" in memory of Nicole Rockafort, "Jay's Way" in memory of Jay Doherty, or the "Jonathan Jankord Memorial Trust Fund" in memory of J.J. Jankord, the Church of St. John of Damascus, Dedham, or any foundation of your choice, as Tillie would want everyone to do as they please.
