Maureen Reidy Obituary

Maureen Reidy ROCKLAND Maureen (Flaherty) Reidy of Rockland, age 69, of Rockland formerly of Quincy, beloved wife for 52 years to James Reidy of Rockland; passed on September 20 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving mother of Patricia Allen and husband Gerald of CT, Michael Reidy and wife Sharon of Quincy, Daniel Reidy and wife Michelle of East Bridgewater, Maureen Dunham and husband Steven of Plymouth, Christine Cormican and husband Sean of Rockland and the late baby Jim; loving sister of Patricia Johnson of Whitman, Eleanor Piers and Donna Owens both of South Boston, and the late Michael Flaherty. As well as 9 beautiful grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Maureen was born in Boston, worked many years for Columbia Meat Packing and retired from the Carney Hospital. She was also a member of the Castle Island Assn. and Leisurewood Red Hat Society. Funeral from the Quealy and Son Funeral Home 116 Adams Street, Abington Wednesday September 24, at 8am followed by a funeral mass in St. Bridgets Church, Abington 9am. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 8pm. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. Donations in lieu of flowers in memory of Maureen to: Norwell Hospice, 91 Longwater Circle, Norwell MA 02061 or American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Rd., Waltham MA 02451.
