Reed Peterson Obituary

Reed S. Peterson of Kingston passed away Sunday February 16 at home. He was 67 years old and the former husband of Donna J. Peterson of Marshfield. Born in Boston on September 15, 1946, he was the loving son of the late Eric & Virginia (Saunders) Peterson. Mr. Peterson was a graduate of Norwood High School Class of 1964 and Northeastern University Class of 1969. He was raised in Norwood and later resided in Marshfield, Merrimack, NH and Alexandria, VA. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller for many years at Logan International Airport, Norwood Memorial Airport, Quonset Airport & Nashua TRACON. Mr. Peterson was the Beloved father of Heather J. Rufo & her husband Michael of Braintree and Adam E. Peterson of Quincy. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael and Alex Rufo of Braintree, and dear step-brother of Sonja Mosley of Assonet. A Funeral Service will be held at the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin Street, Quincy on Thursday February 20 at 10am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8pm. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery. I worked and played ball with Reed for many years at Boston Tower and Quonset Tracon. He was there for me when I almost died of a heart attack and I will always remember him as a great guy and good friend.
