Cambridge Aug 5th 2021 So saddened to learn of Ricks death. My heartfelt condolences to his family. As a neighbor and friend of Ricks we supported each other through the trauma of being dislocated from our apartments during a massive renovation project. We often met in a park opposite our building to exchange information about our buildings problems and to feed the squirrels. The kids in the park were so happy to see Rick as he always had sweet treats for them. Rick was kind, thoughtful and generous. We will miss him so much. RIP

Mr. Thurston, Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the USN during the Cold War as a crewmember on the aircraft carrier USS Midway(CV-41). Millions of Americans slept safe at night because you and your fellow Servicemen stood ready to defend our Country. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
