Robert Currie Obituary

Robert C. Currie QUINCY Robert C. Currie, Sr., a lifelong resident of Quincy, died Sunday November 11, 2007, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Quincy. He was 71. Mr. Currie was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Kelley) Currie. Born in Boston on September 12, 1936, Mr. Currie was the son of the late Edmund and Agnes (Houlihan) Currie. For many years he worked as a mechanic for Flibotte's Auto Service in Braintree until his retirement. In addition to his wife Dorothy, Mr. Currie is survived by his children: Robert C. Currie, Jr., of Quincy, Karen Pobolske of Brockton, Doreen Currie of Brockton, Sue Tenore and her husband David of Brockton and Kelly Currie of Quincy; his grandchildren: Michael Pobolske, Sean Pobolske, Kelli Pobolske, Kristie Pobolske, Sarah Tenore and David Tenore. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Thursday, November 15 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
