Robert R. Longuemare

BRAINTREE Robert R. "Bob" Longuemare, of Braintree, formerly of Jamaica Plain and Dorchester, passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 68, March 11, 2009. Beloved husband of Frances Fran (Murray). Loving father of Russell R. Longuemare and his wife Lisa Gallagher of Pembroke. Dear grandfather of Danielle M. Longuemare of Pembroke. Devoted brother of Nancy Wood of Raymond, N.H. and the late Florence Morgan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bob was the former owner of Dorchester Electric Motor Co., on Freeport St. in Dorchester, a business he owned and operated for 40 years. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed boating, fishing and especially singing. He was member, Past Exalted Ruler and Elk of the year for the Braintree Elks Lodge 2622, a member of the Braintree Moose Lodge, and life member of the Old Colony Yacht Club in Dorchester where he had once served as Rear Commodore. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. Funeral Services Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
