Robert E. McDonald

Robert E. "Bob" McDonald, of Quincy, died March 23, 2018 after many years of suffering with illnesses. Bob loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and traveling to Disney. He also loved dogs, especially his cherished dog Sampson. He enjoyed car shows and working on his own car. He was a member of the Local 369 and retired from Boston Edison. Bob was a calm and easy going man who could strike up a conversation with anyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Beloved husband of 62 years to Jeanne (Campbell) McDonald, of Quincy. Loving father of Robert McDonald and his wife Eileen of W. Boylston, Barbara Cannata and her late husband Edmond of Canton, and Edward McDonald and his wife Jennifer of Kingston. Cherished Bumpa of Martin, Michaela, Kyle, and Nolan McDonald, and Alexis and Eric Cannata. Brother of the late James McDonald. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A celebration of life service will be held in the funeral home at 9 a.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
