Thomas Caron Obituary

Weymouth Thomas L. Caron, died Sunday May 25, 2008 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was 81 years of age and was born and raised in Salem graduating from Salem Vocational High School class of 1944. Thomas retired in 1967 as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy after 22 years. He was a Chief Aviation Electronics Technician. After retirement he became a computer field service technician for Honeywell Corporation and Data Graphics. He was a baseball umpire for many years in the local baseball leagues. He was also a CCD teacher and former member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Francis Xavier Church. He was also a member of the Sunday Night Bowling League; was a blood donor for many years and was an avid hockey fan. Beloved husband of 55 years of Elizabeth A. (Sheehan) Caron. Devoted father of Theresa Y. Bognanno of Milton, Margaret M. Caron, Gerard T. Caron, Paul J. Caron and Arthur L. Caron all of Weymouth and Daniel J. Caron of Acton. Brother of Alfred J. Caron of Peabody and Sr. Catherine M. Caron of the Servants of the Blessed Sacrament of Sherbrooke, Canada. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the SOUTH WEYMOUTH McDonald Funeral Home at 809 Main St. (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 10:00 Oclock. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4:00 8:00 p.m. Interment, Blue Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom and his late grandson Douglas J.
