Tom Draper was a wonderful family friend.
He and my dad Bob Reed were close friends and celebrated their friendship whenever they were together.
Tom was especially close to all of us when dad lost his wife, our mother, this will never be forgotten.

Mr. Draper,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalions during WW II and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. The Seabees were some of the unsung heroes of WW II-they built numerous airfields, bases and naval anchorages and were always ready to put down their tools and pick up a weapon and fight if need be.
