Alexa Parris Obituary
BOILING SPRINGS, SC-- Alexa Price Parris, 97, of Boiling Springs, SC died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at her son's home in Boiling Springs. Born November 2, 1915, in Trans Georgia, she was the daughter of the late W. Frank and Callie Clements Price. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clement Price. Mrs. Parris is survived by her son Billy F. Parris and daughter-in-law Rebecca (Becky) Parris of Boiling Springs, four grandchildren, Shannon (Nancy) Parris, Blake (Cheryl) Parris, Charlotte (Derrick) Elder, Derrick (Andi) Parris, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was a nurse in LaFayette, Ga. for 30 years and due to declining health moved to Boiling Springs in 2004 where she became a member of Mountainview Baptist Church and the Welcome Sunday School class. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Lafayette, Ga. at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2013 led by Dr. Todd Gaddis. The family would like to give special thanks to Piedmont Hospice, the staff at Dillon Pointe Assisted Living, and her many friends. Memorials may be made to Mountainview Baptist Church in Boiling Springs. Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette, Ga.
