Marietta, GA - Betty C. Drummond, 88, of Sterling Estates, Marietta, GA, died Wednesday, August 4, 2021, in her home. Born June 14, 1933, in the Southern Shops community of Spartanburg County.

Mrs. Drummond retired from the SC Forestry Commission and following retirement enjoyed travel, reading, lots of laughter and an occasional margarita. She was a nondenominational Christian.

Mrs. Drummond is survived by her daughter, Alison M. Drummond and her husband, David C. Smith, and their son, Jacob Drummond Smith, all of Marietta, GA; her son, Philip A. Drummond and wife Kelly G. Drummond of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Mary Alice Wingo and niece, Denise Hereen, both of Spartanburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Pierce A. Drummond and her sister, Martha C. Dorman.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel (face coverings required) 2075 East Main St. Spartanburg, SC, with graveside service to follow at 2:00 PM conducted by the Rev. Matt Johnson in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Marietta, GA, where Mrs. Drummond lived since 2013.

The family would like to acknowledge, with deepest gratitude, Pam Ross, Andrea Palaia, and Raema Shade, all of whom not only loved and cared for Mrs. Drummond with the utmost diligence, but also added immeasurable joy to her over the last years of her life.
