Ethel Clary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Ethel Cook Clary, 96, of 1705 Skyllyn Drive, formerly of Gaffney, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.
Born June 6, 1916 in Clifton, SC, she was the widow of Samuel Carlisle Clary and daughter of the late Malcolm and Julia Neal Cook. She was formerly employed with Limestone Manufacturing. Mrs. Clary was a former longtime member of Kirby Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of Croft Baptist Church, Spartanburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Clary Lully and husband, Edmund of Spartanburg; two granddaughters, Angela Warren and husband, Todd of Lexington, Christine Schools and husband, Stephen of Baltimore, MD; a grandson, Stephen L. Lully of Spartanburg; great-grandchildren, Joshua Soots and Caleb Warren of Lexington, Caroline Schools and Samuel Schools, both of Baltimore; a sister-in-law, Ruby Cook of Pacolet Mills; a brother-in-law, Cluff H. Burns and wife, Dot of Spartanburg. Mrs. Clary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by five sisters, Lottie Burgess, Edith Willis, Betty Jo Ellison, Dorothy Ward and Dora Burns; three brothers, Edward Neal (Buck) Cook, Frank N. Cook and Roland E. Cook; a step-sister, Mae Gibson; and a step-brother, Deree Cook.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, 686 Jeff Davis Drive, Spartanburg, SC, 29303.
The family will be at their respective homes.

Dear Family
I am sorry for your loss. I did Mrs. Clary's hair while she lived at Harry White Manor. I really missed her when she left. She was so sweet and lovable.

i am going to miss you aunt ethel. i remember when you asked my mom to take you places and one of the places that we go to was old country buffet and you would allways saw "Can we go to Home Depot to eat." i will miss you very much and i will be praying for the family.
