Flora Green Obituary
Mrs. Flora Thomas Foster Green, 82, of Mt. Vernon, New York, departed this life on Thursday, June 29, 2017 after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Major Thomas, Sr. and the late Clorine Foster Peeler.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jerry T. Green.
Loving survivors include: her aunt, Fannie Foster of Baltimore, MD; her sisters, Linda (Elliot) Long, Thelma (Roy) Logan, Mary T. Gist, Joyce (Clarence) Hughes and Effie R. Minter; her brothers, Rev. Fred (Belinda) Thomas and Douglas (Carrie) Thomas; sisters-in-law, Ola B. Thomas and Louise P. Thomas; brother-in-law, Johnny McDowell; her niece, Cynthia T. Nakon, who assisted with her care; and god-sister and cousin, Shirley Fowler all of Spartanburg, SC; and her god-son, Damien Chapman of Mt. Vernon, NY.
Visitation will be held at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard Street, on Sunday, July 2, 2017 from 4:30 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
A Celebration of the Life of Flora Thomas Foster Green will be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Interment will be held in Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 South Church Street Ext., Roebuck, SC.
