Florence Pittman Obituary
SPARTANBURG, SC-- Florence Blain Pittman, 84, of Summer Place Assisted Living, Boiling Springs, died Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. Born February 10, 1924, in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Turner L. and Annie Mae Koon Blain and the wife of the late Ray H. Pittman. She attended Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy P. Kimbrell of Campobello, and Joyce A. Edwards of Spartanburg; a son, Arnold Ray Pittman of Campobello; two brothers, Douglas Blain of Spartanburg, and James Blain of Wellford; three grandsons; and five-great-grandsons.
Visitation will be 3:00-3:45 PM Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM at the Chapel conducted by the Rev. Todd Johnson. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Toney Smith, Kerry Smith, Scott Kimbrell, David Blain, Jamie Blain, and Randy Blain.
The family is at their respective homes.

Peggy,Joyce & Arnold,We were so sorry to hear of your Mothers passing.May you find peace in knowing she no longer suffers and will be made whole again and free from the Alziemers Disease.May God be with all of you in the coming days and lead and guide you when you feel so lost and alone.It is so bitter sweet to give Mom up but when we see them suffer so much we know it is best.We will be praying for all of you and your families in the days to come.Carroll,Eleanor,Carla Wms.,Dale & Christopher Kimbrell

I always enjoyed visiting with Mrs Pittman when she was a resident at Archibald Rutledge Apts. I was sad to learn of her passing. She was always a great resident ,neighbor, and friend.
